VliegPiet — also known as Vlieg-Piet on YouTube — is the online identity of Piet van der Meer, a Boeing 737 Captain with more than 27 years of professional flying experience and over 14,000 flight hours. Based in the Netherlands, Piet operates commercial flights across Europe and beyond, bringing a genuine airline perspective to everything he creates.

The VliegPiet channel was born out of a simple idea: let people see what actually happens in the cockpit. Not the Hollywood version, not the oversimplified TV documentary — but the real thing. Approach briefings, crosswind landings, instrument procedures, weather decisions.
