1. Who We Are

This website is operated by VliegPiet (Piet van der Meer), a Boeing 737 Captain and content creator based in the Netherlands. Contact: via the social channels listed on the homepage.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet).

2. What Data We Collect

Anonymous Page View Analytics

With your consent, we record which pages you visit, an anonymous session identifier, and the referring website (if any). We do not store full browser fingerprints or user agent strings. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

YouTube Videos

When you choose to play an embedded YouTube video, the YouTube player loads on your device. YouTube (Google LLC) may then set its own cookies and collect data according to their privacy policy. Videos are not loaded automatically — they only load when you click Play.

No Form Data / No Accounts

This website does not have a public registration form, contact form, or user accounts. No names, email addresses, or payment data are collected from visitors.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We only process analytics data on the basis of your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer. If you decline analytics, no tracking data is recorded for your visit.

4. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics records are automatically deleted after 12 months. Your consent preference is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.

5. Third-Party Services

YouTube / Google LLC — Video embeds (loaded on request only). Google's privacy policy applies.

Google Fonts — Typography served via Google's CDN. May log font requests.

Unsplash / Supabase — Image hosting for visual assets.

Base44 — Application infrastructure and data storage. Data is stored in EU-region servers.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time (via cookie settings in the footer)
